If you are not a cat person, please stop reading. This is a post dedicated to our little baby Chaussette who has adapted seamlessly to her new surroundings. The food has been the biggest challenge but we’ve found a medley she likes. And a million thanks to my mom, Stacey and Hilary, who have all lugged her favorite cat treats, Whisker Lickins’, to France. During the summer, she spends most of her time on one of our little perfect kitty cat sized balconies or daring one of her lives on the window ledge in the office. We now have a little 2 story wicker house for her that is right in front of the heater and she spends hours on the roof-top or snuggled inside during these cold winter months.
We found a vet that speaks English, but we have to take a short tram and bus to get there, so Chaussett really is a Parisian kitty. She also has her own European passport, with her picture and all relevant vaccines that will follow her for the rest of her life. She has dual citizenship before I do! As you will see in the pictures, she sleeps a lot, stares out onto the street to survey the activity (she loves the garbage trucks), looks for birds and sometimes spends some time in an empty box. I just wanted everyone to see how well she’s adapted and how happy she is in her new home and country.
